Addicted to DEMOCRACY

You know when I first heard of the decision John McCain made for his vice presidential choice, I laughed. I though..man this man is desperate for votes. A bad look.

Then I heard a commentator say “History Has Been Made.”

I wasnt a supporter of HRC because I didnt feel that her intentions for president were worthy of a choice. Ill tell you this though..she paid whey more dues then this chick Palin.

The day that women make changes, the women that make these changes need to be the women who have fought for these changes and/or moments in history.

Not only is his choice upsetting because he ruined something that was sposed to be historic, but also because he was the one to make this historic moment…and not because he encourages the rights of woman..but because he wants the womens vote. So he is using a woman..a non feminist…to gain woman votes.

Its fucking disgusting!

His record ..voting against equal pay for woman. His record against women having the right to choose.

All the unethical HRC supporters will most likely line up behind this choice, but true feminists with womens rights in mind..are going to revolt this. Its like he thinks women dont make choices that are well thought out, like we are dumb or something. This is going to backfire on him!

Tanya,

I just read this post on one of your other sites. For some reason I was unable to leave a comment. Knowing your attention to detail...I figured you'd have posted the same comment on another site where you write. (GOOD JOB!)

The title of this post "...Kinda Pissed Off" caused me to giggle, as I know your high level of tenacity! Truthfully, I was beyond shocked at Mc Cain's choice. Palin is someone hubby and I have known about for quite sometime due to her 'cowboy' antics in AK. My sister (Sharon) lives in Nome. This is in the north east of AK. I hate to admit it, but Sharon is a FAR RIGHT wing Republican...or should I say "was"...until Palin was elected. My sis is also a working Mom (medical anthropoligist). She said Palin's reputation in AK is not as it is being reported down here "in the lower 48 states"

She would forward us info on this Palin woman all the time, as there were continually allegations from numeorus areas coming her way. My sister said, "She reminds me of a clown". My experience overseas has made me come to the same conclusion.

Trust is something that is earned>"...not freely given (That's Bible...and the Christians would/should know this...but have evidently allowed idiocy to take over their brains)..Another thing they know is that you "..<<u>b>do not put a novice in places of authority". This is, yet, another thing that has somehow fallen from their memory.

Tanya, you already are aware that I spent almost 30 years outside the borders of our nation. My career was as a Humanitarian Aid Relief Coordinator and Educator for First Responders. This experience has taught me that unless one is trained in disaster relief...anyone going to a disaster area wanting to...wave to the crowds and for photo/op sessions...will only get in the way of those trying to bring aid and comfort to the victims of disaster. Mc Cain and Palin were ready to jump on the first plane down to the Gulf Coast... Senator Obama, on the other hand, said he is 'standing ready to help'. This was a huge difference to me, personally. Obama showed much greater understanding.

Another thing...can you imagine Palin engaging world leaders, such as...Putin (Russia...I've spent time here), Ahmadinajad (Iran), R. Mugabe (Zimbabwe...I've also spent time here), Chavez (Venezuela), AlBashir (Sudan...where I spent considerable time...Darfur), the Hezbollah, the Hamas...and dozens of others. What is she going to do? Teach them how she makes 'moose-burgers'.

Palin also sold the jet that had belonged to the former Gov and had gotten rid of the staff of chefs. Most may see this as petty, to me it was major. Here's the reason why...will she want to get rid of "Air Force One"...get rid of the White House staff of chefs? Personally, I do not want my president (Senator Obama) flying around as the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet in some damn rinky-dink plane...and I damn sure do not want my president and our beautiful First Lady to be caught up with doing something that should be delegated to someone else.

One of the hallmarks of good leadership is the ability to delegate! Evidently this is another concept that has escaped the bird-sized brain of Palin.

This may be a bit bitchy...but I don't care. She talks about the "cracks in the glass ceiling"....well, that whiney ass voice of hers could shatter even the finest crystal. I remember the first time I heard her voice on TV. I said to Tom, "Turn that down!"

Keep up the great work! You definitely have been "sounding the alarm"!

One of my friends (a school teacher) called a few minutes ago and said her 9 year old daughter told her, "Maybe Cindy and the other lady should be president". She asked...why she said that. She told her mom it's because "they both have nice nails and pretty hair."

I laughed my a@@ off! Tom (my hubby) said, "The Republican thinking is on the same level as a typical 9 yr old child :)
