There is no ‘Death Panel’ provision in the proposed New Health Care Reform Bill sponsored by the Obama Administration. There is a provision to reimburse doctors for End of Life Counseling in the bill. There seem to be a basic series of misstatements about what constitutes a Living Will and the End of Life counseling. (See http://democrats.org/RealityCheck)
A living will is an Advance Health Care Directive; a series of instructions given by individuals specifying what actions should be taken fo… Continue

“What makes a great president?” Marty asked him one day. “Well, I think that probably everybody who has been elected president was a great person in some aspect or another.” Barack began. “But what makes a great president, as opposed to a great person, is the juxtaposition of the president’s personal characteristics and strengths with the needs of the American people and the country. And when you are a president who happens to come into the office at that juxtaposition, there’s an environment fo… Continue

New Shoes for George Bush
A Political Blog
By James Myers

With only 37 days left in his Presidency, must of us just wish George W., would just go away. Apparently, this includes not only Americans who have tolerated his incompetence for the last 8 years, but also some Iraqis as well. President Bush is currently on a secret world wind tour that includes Iraq. An unusual incident happened today at the Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan today. As Am… Continue

Why You Should Vote for Barack Obama?
Because He Has Already ‘Tilted the Table’
By James Myers
The Entertainment Critic
A few months back I did an interview with Mr. Jonah Goldberg, The author of a book called Liberal Fascism. He used a term that has stuck with me, I believe that I have ‘tilted the table’ in the way history will view this topic from now on, is a rough paraphrase of what he said. Tilting the table means that you have changed the way people view a particular topic. The way hist… Continue

Does John McCain’s Experience Matter?
A Political Blog

The Entertainment Critic
I was asked by a young Obama neighborhood organizer to write an article about an argument he was running into as he went door to door in Lake County, Indiana. The problem: How do you respond to someone who is considering voting for John McCain based on his ‘experience?’
After all at age 45, Barack Obama is not the youngest presidential nominee or chief executive. William Jennings Bryant was a Democr… Continue

“The Republicans are like pigs. They love to play in the mud. If they can, they pull you into the mud too. You won’t like it much, but it keeps the pigs happy.”—Unknown You Tube User
“This will be a respectful campaign. Americans want a respectful campaign; they’re tired of the attacks, they’re tired of impugning people’s character and integrity. They want a respectful campaign, and I am of the firm belief that they can get it, and they’ll get it if the American People demand it, and reject a l… Continue

"You've got statistics that say we've lost another 50,000 jobs, that Florida is in a recession for the first time in a decade and a half, and what was being talked about was Paris and Britney," Obama said. "They're clever on creating distractions from the issues that really… Continue

I just saw an ad tonight from the McCain camp where Barack Obama is called the most popular person (celebrity) on the planet with Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton finishing 2d and 3rd. The specific message of the ad is that Barack never says anything or doesn't stand for anything; he's all talk and no action.
Once again Mr. McCain, you have missed the point. As an entertainment critic who has deigned to call himself, 'The Entertainment Critic,' I feel uniquely qualified to tell you that this ad… Continue
