"John Mc Cain...Two Sides of The Same Coin!"

Joseph Curl and Stephan Dinan, from the Washington Times today said Senator Mc Cain blasted George Bush.


Today to further his claim of separation from the Bush Administration Sen. McCain has loudly voiced his opposition to Bush policies. Such as: Spending, the conduct of war in Iraq, growth in the size of government, and Vice President Cheney’s belief that he be is part of both the executive and legislative branches of government. Now just before the election he declares opposition to an unpopular president, V.P. Cheney, and blames liberals for wasteful spending as if we never heard of Tom Delay.


With one statement, Sen. John McCain seems to think Americans can forget his voting record. John McCain has freely admitted that he voted with Bush policies at a 90% clip. John McCain actively campaigned with George W. Bush during the 2004 election. At that time and until today he never voiced concerns or opposition for the majority policies that he now claims were in error. I am discounting his concern about torture and Iraq as at this time I am not sure where Sen. McCain stands in relation to President Bush. The key phrase here is in relation to, for surely Sen. McCain’s policies that affect American households are currently closely related to those of President Bush. He wishes to keep the Bush tax cuts and make the tax code friendlier to investors such as hedge fund managers.


Amazingly, John McCain is now decrying the Medicare Drug Part D program as he asks, “Why should taxpayers pay for my prescription drugs?” If he was so concerned about wealthy people getting needless benefits he should have spoken up at that time, he did not! There exists a belief among conservative republicans that helping lower earning people exclusively is welfare. Sen. McCain playing to the conservative base never argued about that injustice until today 10 days before the election.


I have news for Sen. McCain you cannot run from your own shadow; the trail gets longer as the sun sets.
